State of Emergency in Mississippi

(Jackson, MS) Gov. Phil Bryant has declared a State of Emergency for eight Mississippi counties hit by severe weather on Christmas Day.

Tornadoes were reported in Forrest and Stone Counties.

At least a dozen homes were damaged in Pearl River County by strong winds.

The damage covers counties in the southern and central part of the state.

The Governor says the State of Emergency will help expedite any help needed in those areas.
