(Memphis) Monday is the busiest day of the year for the area's largest employer.
FedEx is expected to move an estimated 19 million packages December 10th.
Boxes flood the counter at Mailboxes and Beyond in Blytheville, Arkansas.
" Everyone is trying to get their checklist done by December 25th," said owner Tobye McClanhan.
The store is an authorized center for many shipping companies, including FedEX.
McClanahan says its been a busy month so far, but Monday is crunch time for holiday packages.
"How do you stay so calm?" asked News Channel 3.
"Well I don't always. Sometimes you just do what you have to do," said McClanahan.
FedEx breaks down Monday's anticipated 19 million packages to about 200 packages a second.
The busy day isn't just because of folks standing in line at shipping centers.
Monday is called Green Monday.
A chunk of FedEx business comes from so many people placing orders online.
McClahanan stressed the deadline is winding down to make sure your packages are nestled under the tree in time.
If you're shipping via ground or home delivery, you have until Monday, the 17th.
There are other options after that. Saturday the 22nd, is the last day for overnight shipping.
Same day delivery is also available, but will cost much more.
For the US Postal Service, the deadline for first class mail is the 20th.
McClanahan suggests sending off packages when most people are not in line at shipping stores, like around noon or 3 o clock in the afternoon.
But even with these tips, she says somethings are inevitable.
" Bring a little bit of patience, 'tis the season to wait," exclaimed McClanahan.
