WREG News Director Bruce Moore attributed the big win to his team’s commitment to viewers.

“We’re here to serve our customers,” said Moore.  “From breaking news to weather forecasts that are easy to understand, the team works hard to give people what they need.”

President and General Manager Ron Walter added, “One example is how we sent crews everywhere on election night, providing viewers with wall-to-wall coverage on our digital channel, News Channel 3 Anytime (Digital Channel 3.2).  I think viewers expect a lot from us every night, but especially on a historic night like that.  We do our best to deliver.”

WREG-TV News Channel 3 is owned by Local TV LLC, a broadcast holding company created in 2007 to acquire nine heritage television stations in eight midsized markets.  In 2008, the company acquired eight large-market Fox Affiliates previously owned by News Corporation.  Local TV is owned by Oak Hill Capital Partners, a consortium of bankers and high yield lenders.
