Officer-Involved Shooting in Millington

(Millington) Millington police are investigating a shooting involving an officer.

It happened in the parking lot of First United Methodist Church on Wilkinsville Road.

Police say an officer responded to a call about a suspicious person around 2:00 Sunday afternoon.

Millington Police Chief, Rita Stanback told News Channel 3 the suspect had a weapon and aimed it at the officer.

The officer fired shots, hitting the suspect. The suspect was taken to The Med in non-critical condition.
