(Lakeland, TN) A cat that was apparently trapped in a former grocery store building has been rescued.

The cat was seen through windows at the former Kroger store on Highway 64 and Fletcher Trace.

While the cat seemed well fed, there were concerns for its safety.

A feral cat cage was used to trap the cat which is now being cared for by New Beginnings Animal Rescue.
