“Facts of Life” Star has West Nile Virus

Actress Lisa Whelchel announced that she has contracted West Nile Virus.

The 49-year-old actress starred as Blair Warner for nine seasons on “The Facts of Life” and is currently one of the contestants on “Survivor: Philippines.”

Whelchel made the announcement on twitter.

She says she is rundown and tired and that it will take up to a year to recover.

Whelchel did not say whether she got West Nile while taping “Survivor.”

She is one of eight finalists on the reality show which airs on News Channel 3 every Wednesday at 7PM.
