Top U.S. General Linked to Petraeus Investigation

(Washington, DC)  Gen. John Allen, the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, is now under investigation for his role in the FBI investigation into former CIA Director David Petraeus.

A senior official at the Pentagon told CBS News that Gen. Allen may have had “inappropriate communications” with Jill Kelley, the woman who reportedly received threatening emails from Paula Broadwell.

When Petraeus resigned last week, he admitted that he had an extramarital affair with Broadwell.
