Memphis Fire Department Investigates Two Overnight Fires

(Memphis) Fire investigators are looking into the cause of two overnight fires.

Just before Midnight, a fire broke out in the 3000 block of Cromwell Road between Swinea and Tchulahoma. 

Firefighters said the woman who lived there was able to get out safely and there were no injuries.

The Red Cross has been called in to assist her.

Around 1:45 a.m., firefighters put out a fire at a vacant building in Parkway Village.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the flames at the Twin Oaks Townhomes near Winchester and Outland.

No firefighters were injured.
