Hospital, Restaurant Offers Free Services For Veterans

(Memphis) As the nation observes Veterans Day, some local businesses are showing their appreciation to our servicemen and women.

Starting at 8 a.m., Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto will provide a free pancake breakfast for veterans. They can also take part in free health screenings.

At 10 a.m., the City of Memphis will honor veterans with a parade. It will be held downtown, traveling down Second Street from Exchange to Monroe.

From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., military veterans and active duty military can get a free lunch at Texas Roadhouse restaurants in Memphis and Horn Lake.

The Blues City Cafe on Beale Street is also providing lunch to veterans.

To participate, you must show proof of service through a military or v-a card or discharge papers with a photo I.D.
