(Memphis) Memphis police were busy Sunday investigating five separate shooting within 24 hours.

Four of them happened within one hour.

Just after 12:00 a.m., officers answering a shooting call on Davis Circle in Nutbush only found a pool of blood. That’s because they believe 21-year-old Louis Lira drove himself to the 4000 block of Truman before collapsing in the drive way. He was taken to The Med where he later died.

An arrest has been made, but no charges have been filed.

Around 4:40 Sunday evening, officers received a shooting call in the 6000 block of Selkirk. There they found a male around 25-30 years old with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A few minutes later, officers responded to a shooting in the 3600 block of Elvis Presley. The male victim there was also pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating whether or not the wound is self-inflicted.

Just after 5:00, officers made the scene of another shooting in the 6000 block of Rockingham. Officers found a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to The MED in critical condition.

Around 6:30, police were called to the 600 block of S. Parkway. They found one victim with a gunshot wound. The age and condition were available.

As of 7:00, no arrests had been made in the shootings on Selkirk, Rockingham and South Parkway.

Anyone with any information on either of these shootings is asked to call Crimestoppers at 901-528-CASH.
