(Memphis) Thanksgiving is about two weeks away and Mid-South Food Bank needs your help in collecting more than 5,000 turkeys for local families.

It’s part of Mid-South Food Bank’s annual Turkey Drive but President Marcia Wells told News Channel 3 donations have been slow and the clock is ticking.

“The sooner we can get the turkeys in here the sooner we can get them out to people in time for Thanksgiving. This week and next week are really the prime times for delivering turkeys to the Food Bank,” Wells said.

You can help by bringing frozen turkeys to Mid-South Food Bank, 239 South Dudley from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.  Or, you can make a $15 per turkey online donation at and chose “Turkeys” from the Designation drop down box.
