MPD Officer Involved in Crash

(Memphis)  Memphis Police are investigating an early morning accident involving one of their own officers.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday at Kerr Ave. and Marjorie St. in South Memphis.

Police say the officer had just left a shooting scene on South Parkway when the accident happened. He was taken to an area hospital, but his condition is unknown.

At this time, police aren’t releasing any further information — including how many cars, if any, were also involved in the accident.
