New Name But Same Mission For Leadership Academy

(Memphis) The Leadership Academy in Memphis has a new name as of today.

The new name is New Memphis Institute.

While the name has changed, those in charge say the programs and mission remain the same.

According to a news released, the idea for the name is that it, “…better represents the change the organization’s programs and participants bring about each and every day.”

President and CEO Nancy Coffee, “Every great person, every great organization, every great city is trying to be better today than they were yesterday,” Coffee said. “Memphis is no different.  New Memphis Institute is about that restless energy in pursuit of what’s possible.”

The New Memphis Institute started in Memphis in 1979.
