STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Southeastern Conference released its 2013 conference football schedule earlier this afternoon, completing the full 12-game slate for Mississippi State.

For the eighth time in school history and the fourth time in the past five seasons, the Mississippi State football schedule includes seven home games. It will also include one neutral site game and four road trips to SEC foes. With a 14-week calendar, each SEC team will also have two off weeks during the 2013 season.

The Bulldogs begin the season with previously announced contests against Oklahoma State in the Texas Kick Off Classic at Reliant Stadium in Houston followed by a home game against in-state foe Alcorn State on Sept. 7.

In addition to non-conference games against Alcorn State, Troy and Bowling Green, the home SEC schedule includes Alabama, LSU, Kentucky and Ole Miss.

The SEC portion of the schedule again commences against Auburn, marking the sixth-consecutive season the Bulldogs and Tigers face off to start SEC play. The trip to the Plains will be the first SEC road contest, with trips to South Carolina, Texas A&M and Arkansas rounding out the road slate.

The road schedule features a trio of historically rare road trips for Mississippi State. MSU has only played once in College Station (in 1913), has only traveled to Columbia, S.C. and Little Rock seven times apiece.
