(Memphis) - A fight involving dozens of teenagers breaks out at Memphis Madness. Witnesses tell News Channel 3 that the teens were jumping people in the upper rafters of the FedEx Forum. At one point, witnesses say, police had to use pepper spray.

However, for most of the 20,000 people in the crowd, they had no idea the fight was going on.They say their attention was on center court where Memphis Madness still played on.

It's was the tip off the college basketball season and the girl's basketball coach told the crowd, "Nobody does madness like Memphis."

"There's a lot of energy in the building tonight," one fan said.
"It's just exciting you can act like a kid," Memphis alumnus, Robert Sloan, said.

Chris Crawford, Adonis Thomas, and Shaq Goodwin were just some of the starters introduced with the crowd on their feet. Legends like Penny Hardaway were also introduced to a standing ovation.

There were even a few Grizzlies were on hand showing their love for the Tigers.

"I had to come and spread that Memphis love," Grizzlies player Tony Allen said. "I know the Tigers have big plans this year and I wanted to be a part of it starting out."

Even though this was the start of the season, fans say they already have their predictions on how it will end.

"We're going all the way," Sloan said.
