MHA Wins Award For Legends Park Development

(Memphis) The Memphis Housing Authority has been awarded with the Tennessee Housing Development Agency’s Best Excellence in Partnership Award for the Legends Park development.

The Memphis Housing Authority won the award for Excellence in Partnership, which recognizes the achievement of organizations working together to develop programs or services that promote or expand access to affordable housing.

In 2005, MHA was awarded a $20 million HOPE VI Revitalization Grant to redevelop the former Dixie Homes public housing site. 

Legends Park is a mix of  315 rental and home ownership projects as well as a 3-story building for seniors ages 62 and older.
