(New Orleans, LA.) A New Orleans assistant city attorney was cited after police say a marijuana cigarette fell out his pocket.

It happened Monday while Jason Cantrell was in court talking to a police officer.

He was working on a case not connected to the city.

The 43-year-old was let go under a city policy for low-level marijuana cases.

He has been suspended without pay pending further investigation.
