(Nashville) Doctors in Nashville are worried about a deadly outbreak of meningitis at a neurosurgery center.

The Health Department says two people have died and six people have suffered from deep brain stroke syndrome.

All of the patients underwent a steroid injection in the back to relieve pain.

The Saint Thomas Outpatient Center has closed its doors.

The CDC will determine where the meningitis originated.

Meningitis can not be spread from person to person.
