(Undated) Believe it or not the government once paid good money to see if booze could survive a blast from an atomic bomb.

The Food and Drug Administration and the Civil Defense Administration did the study back in 1965.

It says beer and other types of alcohol can survive a bomb blast as long as the bottles were sealed.

The glass will have some radiation but the alcohol will be safe to drink.

Tasters were hired to test the drinks.

They said the flavor was off but it was okay.
