A Mother, Two Daughters Arrested For Violent Attack
(Memphis) Three women are charged with attacking a man by using a machete and a metal pipe.
The man said after seeing the severe cut on his head, he’s just glad to be alive.
Brenda Johnson came outside her home to see three women attacking a man in a driveway.
It didn’t take her long to realize the victim was her daughter’s boyfriend, “They just pulled up real fast and they were just beating him in the street.”
Memphis Police say his ex-girlfriend, her sister and their mother attacked him with a machete and a metal pipe.
“It was scary,” said Johnson. “I was hollering and screaming, ‘Call the police, call the ambulance, call somebody’.”
After the beating, the women left, but were picked up the next day by police.
Tamiko Harris, Erica Tate, and Ebony Franklin were all charged with Aggravated Assault.
Johnson was surprised the victim, who lives next door with her daughter, was not hurt worse, “I know they cut him upside the head and his feet messed up and he is in a lot of pain now.”
Johnson believes the violence was fueled by jealousy and it’s been going on for a while.
“They’ve been running over there messing with them,” said Johnson. “They’re jealous of my daughter. They want him back.”
All three women were in court on Monday.
