Memphis, TN-Former East High School standout Will Redmond is being accused by a summer league coach of taking cash from a Mississippi State booster to sign with the Bulldogs. Nashville based coach Byron De’Vinner, who coached Redmond on a 7-on-7 team in the summer, has been doing endless interviews the past few days. He continues to add shocking stories each day. On Wednesday De’Vinner told a Nashville radio show that Redmond was offered six thousand dollars to cancel official visits to other schools and commit to Mississippi State. Redmond did visit Georgia before signing with State. De’Vinner said, he wasn’t sure if Redmond got the six grand. De’Vinner also said, another BCS school, not in the SEC, offered Redmond sixty thousand dollars to sign. Mississippi State will only say that it is cooperating with an NCAA investigation and has disassociated itself from the booster. Redmond, who’s a freshman at Mississippi State, has not played in a game this season.
