Shelby County Fugitive Officer Arrested

(Memphis) A Shelby County fugitive officer has been arrested on an assault charge.

Anthonie Lee was arrested early Sunday morning in the 6500 block of Ballantrace Court.

Memphis Police were called there on a simple assault/domestic violence call.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, “Officers reported that a female victim was involved in a physical altercation with her boyfriend and his daughter.

The victim says when she tried to call the police, the girl’s father; Anthonie Lee, 44, intervened, grabbed her by the neck, pushed her down and took the phone from her. Both the victim and Lee say alcohol was a factor as they had been drinking earlier in the day.”

Anthonie Lee was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault.

Lee, who has been employed with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for 20 years,

has been relieved of duty with pay pending the results of an internal administrative investigation.
