(Memphis) Memphis Police are still working to determine how five-year-old Tavien Williams got on the wrong bus and disappeared for hours Thursday night.
Tavien was last seen leaving his classroom at Carnes Elementary Thursday afternoon.
Somehow was Tavien was put on the wrong daycare bus.
His family noticed he was missing when they went to pick him up from Mecca Childcare around 6 Thursday and he wasn't there.
Around Midnight Friday, a man walked up with Tavien to Carnes Elementary where his family and police were gathered.
"A total stranger had that baby, a total stranger," said Tavien's aunt Aria Arnold.
The man did tell family he was from Premier Transportation.
News Channel 3 spoke with the owner of Premier, Hamilton Smyth Friday.
Smythe said Tavien somehow got onto one of their buses.
He was then taken to after school care at Neighborhood Christian Center on Jackson.
The kids were then taken home by bus.
A lot attendant discovered Tavien sleeping in the back of the bus once the bus arrived at the lot.
The 5-year-old was then returned to Carnes Elementary.
Tavien was unharmed.
Memphis Police said no charges have been filed at this point.
They continue to investigate.
