Police Search For Suspect In Triple Shooting

(Memphis) Police are still looking for the person who opened fire at an apartment complex Tuesday night.

One man was killed, two others went to the hospital.

It happened in the 2700 block of Ketchum, near interstate 240 and Airways.

A relative of one of the victims said his nephew was inside his apartment when someone kicked in the door and started shooting.

He said his 21-year-old nephew was shot in the head and killed while the other men in the apartment with him were wounded.

The man who lives next door was sleeping on the couch and heard at least one of the gun shots.

“It was real loud. Loud enough to wake me up,” said Fred Peterson

Investigators aren’t saying if it was a robbery and say they don’t know if the victims knew the suspect.

“Everybody was shocked because it happened so fast. Everybody was outside talking and whatever and a couple of hours later someone was shot down here and got killed,” said Maricus Maxwell.

Police have not released a description of the suspect.

If you know anything about the shooting you are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH.
