Atlanta, GA-Tennessee’s new receiver Cordarrelle Patterson scored two first-quarter touchdowns, one on a 41-yard catch and another on a 67-yard run, to lead the Vols to an impressive, 35-21 win over N.C. State in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome.

Patterson had six catches for 93 yards as the Vols won the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game. Vols quarterback Tyler Bray finished 27-of-41 for 332 yards and two touchdowns.

Tennessee gets off to a nice start after suffering back-to-back losing seasons in Derek Dooley’s first two years in Knoxville.
