Jonesboro Officers Reinstated One Month After Chavis Carter’s Death

(Jonesboro, AR)  Two Jonesboro police officers involved in a squad car death are back on the job.

Officers Ron Marsh and Keith Bagget had been on paid administrative leave since the July shooting.

Jonesboro police said Chavis Carter shot himself in the head while he was handcuffed in the backseat of the police cruiser.

A medical examiner’s report agreed.

Carter’s family does not believe he killed himself.

The family has hired an attorney on its behalf.
