Liberty Bowl Improvements Unveiled

(Memphis) With area high school cheerleaders and bands leading the way, Tiger fans young and old got to check out the new stadium. They stood on the turf soaking it up from a vantage point usually reserved for the stars.

Geraldine jones shook her pom poms in excitement, “I think the stadium is great. It’s beautiful I didn’t know they had artificial turf.”

New turf, seats, paint, lights,  but the highlight of the changes is the new 48 foot by 98 foot  jumbo tron, which city leaders say is the largest in the Big East conference.

“It’s exciting to see them put some money into it especially with them joining the new football conference”, said fan Stephen Cooper.

There are still signs of the aging stadium but it’s hard to find anyone who doesn’t agree this was a massive step in the right direction.
