Greg Davis Drama Continues With New Divorce Court Filing
(Southaven, MS) More Drama for Southaven Mayor Greg Davis, as his wife drops a bombshell and some serious allegations in a new court filing.
It concerns her divorce and her desire to re-negotiate child support and custody of the couple’s three children.
Davis is currently said to pay his former wife more than $2700 a month.
“Look at everything she’s gone through and everything that we as a city have gone through,” said Andrea Pena of Southaven.
People in Southaven aren’t surprised by Suzann Davis’s claims in a court filing.
It says the Mayor tried, “…to defraud her from a fair and complete property division by way of his willful failure to disclose…”
She claims she wasn’t in a position to make good decisions at the time of the original settlement, because she was under a doctor’s care and lists these reasons she should have full custody of their kids.
“…excessive alcohol consumption occurs while the minor children are visiting”
“…Mr. Davis and his domestic partner sleep together… while the children are present in the house.”
And that, “…Mr. Davis has consistently threatened her with ridicule both in the community and with government officials…”
Mayor Davis was nowhere to be found today, and Suzann Davis didn’t return our requests for comment.
We did, however, reach her attorney Martin Zummach, “I cannot comment on that because it’s currently in litigation.”
He did explain why the Mayor should be forced to pay her child support, before paying the State of Mississippi back tens of thousands of dollars, “There’s been no allegation that the children or the ex-wife had inappropriately used State or City funds, so it would be unfair to take from them”.
The new allegations come as citizens say they`re getting weary of the constant controversy.
“Well, it’s their business and it shouldn’t be in the news. But of course, he’s an elected official so, sometimes those things get in the street when it shouldn’t be. It’s their business and should stay at home,” said Yolanda Cuthrell of Horn Lake.
