14-Year-Old Charged With Aggravated Assault

(Memphis) A 14-year-old is in custody in connection with the armed robbery of a Chinese food delivery person.

Just after 10:00 Tuesday night, police were called to the 6500 block of Bartonwood Cove.

A delivery man at that location said he was distracted by one man, while two others put a gun to his head and pulled him from his vehicle.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office tells us the suspects then took off northbound on Bartonwood in the delivery vehicle.

As deputies were talking with the delivery man, the victim’s vehicle crashed during a pursuit by Olive Branch PD at Hwy 302 and Pecan View.

The teen in custody is charged with Felony Fleeing and other charges may be pending.
