Former Police Chief Bob Paudert Says Officers Are Under Attack
(MEMPHIS, TN) His son was murdered after pulling two people over in a traffic stop, now former West Memphis Police Chief Bob Paudert spends his time educating officers about dangerous groups.
Paudert lives in Missouri now, but returned to the Mid-South the sovereign citizens — the same group the people who killed his son belonged to, but it’s not the only group that has him upset.
“The public needs to see what’s going on. We in law enforcement are under attack from all sides,” Paudert said.
He’s talking about the Department of Justice, who indicted a former West Memphis Police employee Lester Ditto on charges he tampered with witnesses. Ditto was found not guilty but the pain is still there.
“You don’t like being accused of something, and your character attacked, thank god it’s over with”, said Ditto.
His former boss came home to defend Ditto’s name. He participated in a fundraiser to raise money to pay Ditto’s bills from the trial and spread his own message about the men who killed his son — the men he calls a major threat.
