Millington Suspect Caught

(Memphis) One of the suspects at the center of an hours long man hunt in Millington has been caught.

Shelby County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Chip Washington said Daniel Johnson, 24, was taken into custody Friday night around 7:30p.m.

Officials were initially told there were two suspects responsible for a robbery at the Castle Creek Recreation Center in Millington. Two weapons were stolen in the robbery.

It is believed there is a second accomplice on the run which led investigators to a corn field across from Millington Elementary School. The school was on locked down for student and teacher safety.

This is an ongoing investigation.
