Man Runs For His Life, Shot in Front of Witnesses

(Memphis) Memphis Police have not identified a man who was shot and killed at the Eastwood Apartments at 3007 Getwell around 7:00a.m. this morning.

Witnesses told News Channel 3 the victim was running from a gunman, who shot him through a fence. They say the victim collapsed on the sidewalk and the suspect walked up kicking the victim in the face and then shooting him again.

Gerard Lawrence said the victim collapse just feet away from his door.

“Just the blood it looked like a foot print on his face,” said Lawrence who told us he did not see anything but only heard the shots while he was getting his young children ready for school.
