Man Murdered in Raleigh

(Memphis)  A Raleigh man is dead following an overnight shooting.

Police were called to the Sunridge Townhomes near Covington Pike and Stage Road just after 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers found a man in his late 30′s lying on the floor with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the MED where he later died.

Police are now interviewing his girlfriend, who was in the apartment at the time of the shooting, to see what she may have seen or heard.

Detectives also believe there’s a connection between this shooting and another one that happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in Frayser.

In that case, a man was shot in the leg on Henderson Street near Watkins and I-40. He is listed in critical condition at the MED.
