Accused Voyeur Pastor in Court
(Desoto County, MS) Former Preacher Samuel Nuckolls was in Desoto County Circuit Court Friday, where he faces 13 count of video voyeurism.
Nuckolls is accused of videotaping women without them knowing, while working as a traveling preacher.
Today in court Nuckolls attorney Ron Michael, along with Assistant District Attorney Steven Jubera, decided it will be the judge and not a jury that will decide Nuckolls fate in September.
“As much as Christians are advised to forgive and not to be judgmental, the greatest criticisms come from there and I’m not saying it’s not justified,” said Michael.
“He did in fact video tape those women, that it occurred on numerous instances. It occurred in Olive Branch, Mississippi, he can’t get away from those things,” said Jubera.
Several victims were in the courtroom.
Robbie Phillips spoke on behalf of many of the victims, saying they wanted to warn everyone about what Nuckolls is accused of, “He used his spiritual authority his spiritual platform as their friend and as their spiritual mentor. He used that platform as his means to lure them.”
