Jackson Man Arrested For Shooting At Teens After Daughter Assaulted

(Jackson, TN) A Jackson, TN man has been arrested for shooting at two teenagers after they reportedly assaulted his 14-year-old daughter.

Jackson Police tell us a 12-year-old and 14-year-old were fighting near Sherwood Lane.

“Two 15-year-old step-brothers got involved in the fight to help their younger sister, and they assaulted the 14-year-old girl.”

Not long after police say, “three car loads of people came to the boys Sherwood Lane home.”

Investigators say Bobby Avery, who was the father of the 14-year-old girl, began assaulting the two 15-year-old boys.

The teens ran from the house and police say Avery got back into his car, chased the boys
and began shooting at them.

The teens were not hurt.

He remains in custody at the Madison County Jail on $75,000 bond.
