Chick-fil-A Customers Respond to ‘Same Sex’ Announcement
(Memphis) Popular restaurant Chick-fil-A has been getting a lot of criticism for its stance against same-sex marriage.
The company says it treats every customer and employee the same regardless of sexual orientation.
The Chick-fil-A on Union sits behind the preserved wall of an old church.
Fitting, since the company is known for its foundation as deeply rooted in the Christian faith and biblical principles.
The president of the fast food chain Dan Cathy spoke out against same sex marriage in a radio interview.
Kate Hall says she respects Cathy’s opinion on marriage, “I’m proud that he sticks to what he believes in and says what he believes despite hot it may impact his business.”
Other people aren’t so supportive.
Celebrities like The Hangover’s Ed Helms are calling for a boycott of Chick-fil-A.
Robin Hanna goes to Chick-fil-A several times a week.
She supports same sex marriage, but doesn’t mind that Chick-fil-A is taking a different stand, “I think they have a right to express their own opinions and I will still attend the restaurant. Just because they have that opinion doesn’t bother me.”
