Shanterrica Madden Sentenced To 29 Years In Prison
(Nashville, TN) WTVF-TV reports Shanterrica Madden has been sentenced to 29 years in prison for killing fellow Memphian Tina Stewart.
The murder happened while the two were roommates at Middle Tennessee State University.
Madden, 19 of Memphis, was convicted of second degree murder in the March 2011 stabbing of Stewart.
That’s a lesser charge than prosecutors wanted but it comes with a 15 to 60 year sentence.
Madden claimed self-defense against Stewart.
She said the two got into a fight after Stewart called a security officer to report Madden was using marijuana.
Stewart was stabbed several times.
