Manhunt Ends in DeSoto County

(DeSoto Co., MS) Deputies in DeSoto County have captured an armed man who fled from police after a shooting in Tunica County.

Deputies arrested the suspect around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday along I-69 between the Fogg Road and Tulane Road exits.

Checkpoints and K-9 crews had been canvassing the area for six hours when a motorist called dispatch and told them the suspect tried to flag him down.

DeSoto County Sheriff Bill Rasco is expected to release more information about the investigation later today.
