MPD Investigating Two Homicides

(Memphis) Memphis police are searching for suspects responsible for two deadly shootings less than two hours apart.

Officers were called to a shooting in the Autumn Ridge Apartments in Hickory Hill just after 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

They found 20-year-old Marquita Whittaker Jones inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Less than two hours later, officers answered another shooting call in the 1600 block of Harville in east Memphis.

There they found 33-year-old Martine Rodriguez suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made in either of the cases.
