Man Allegedly Recorded Himself Raping Daughter

(Bartlett,TN) Earlier this week, a mother came home , pulled out her iPad or similar device and froze. 

Right before her eyes, were images of her husband raping her daughter. 

The pictures were so graphic they showed penetration of the child. 

The mother called police and her husband reportedly confessed to the crime.

“Unfortunately, it happens so frequently you can hardly believe it,” said Nancy Williams, director of the Memphis Child Advocacy Center.

One in four girls and one and six boys are abused in the U.S. 

Families often keep quiet.

It’s too much and too hard to talk about, and that’s what keeps the predators in power.

“We don’t want to think about it, but the truth is we need to think about it and we need to protect children,” added Williams

According to police documents News Channel 3 obtained, the victim in this case had siblings, right there under the same roof. 

Authorities had to take precautions to protect them.

Deputies arrested the man, who they say admitted he had sex with his daughter, but only once.  

They also notified the FBI.

We are releasing little information about the man charged to protect the identity of his daughter, and family.
