Juvenile Officer Charged With Molestation

(Hernando, MS) A juvenile detention officer is charged with molesting a child while not on duty.

Jeffrey Harwell works with the Desoto County Sheriff’s Department and has been suspended without pay.

Harwell  appeared before a judge this morning on one charge of molestation of a child.

A $1,000,000 bond was set.

The case is being investigated by the Hernando Police Department.
