Wig-Wearing Man Charged with Statutory Rape

(Memphis) A man police say was wearing a wig to lure children into his car is facing statutory rape and sexual battery charges.

Police say Lieutenant Malone lured a 13-year-old boy into his car Saturday and sexually molested him near the Beltline community. 

According to officers the teen says he thought Malone was a woman.

Officers also say that Malone admitted to having sex with the 13-year-old and a 14-year-old boy he had picked up earlier in the same neighborhood.

Malone is being held on a $250,000 bail.
