(Memphis) Maurice Brown, the father of a 3-year-old boy missing since Sunday night, has been charged with aggravated child neglect and endangerment of a child.

(Memphis) Memphis police officers are using every resource available to locate a missing 3-year-old boy.

Maurice Brown, Jr. was last seen Sunday night and now police are handing out flyers with Brown’s picture on them, hoping someone will notice the child.

The child’s father, Maurice Sr. says he fell asleep inside their apartment and when he woke up his son was gone.

Neighbors hit the streets to help with the search after hearing the news about Maurice Jr. “Me, and my old-dog Red have been up and down alleys, all through the weeds and everything” said John Cannon.

Maurice Sr. told News Channel 3, he is a member of the Grape St. gang and says he can’t imagine what could have happened.

Police say they don’t suspect any foul play, but they are worried about the heat becoming a factor.

The little boy was last seen wearing a blue Batman shirt, blue jeans but did not have on any shoes.

Anyone who sees Maurice should call Memphis Police at (901) 545-COPS.
