Police Standoff in Southwest Memphis

MEMPHIS — Memphis Police are in a standoff situation with an armed man at a house in southwest Memphis.


The situation unfolded just after midnight Monday morning in the 3300 block of Forrester Road, just off of Mitchell Road near T.O. Fuller State Park.


Police say a man and his nephew got into an argument inside the house. The nephew reportedly pulled out a gun and started shooting. No one was hurt.


The nephew then barricaded himself inside the house. Police have called in a tactical unit to bring the situation under control.
