News Channel 3 Honored By Tennessee Associated Press

(Nashville, TN) The Tennessee Associated Press held its annual awards banquet for radio, television and print members Saturday in Nashville.

News Channel 3 Meteorologist Jim Jaggers was named Best Weather Anchor in the state.

WREG won the Freedom of Information award for a story about patients being kept waiting in ambulances as hospitals kept them waiting. That report was assembled by Scott Noll and Dan Patton.

We also received an Honorable Mention for Best Public Affairs story for an expose on problems with a roofing company which led to an investigation of the company and the arrest of the owner. Scott Noll, Dan Patton & Josh Strawn worked on that story.
