(Nashville, TN) A bill allowing Tennessee to create new school districts passed a house education subcommittee.

If approved, in the House and Senate, the bill would allow Shelby County suburbs to go ahead with their plans to create new school districts.

The Senate version of the bill is ready for a vote and could happen next week.

Unless an amendment is added, the May vote on schools would still not happen.
