(Germantown, TN) A note went home to parents of students at Germantown Middle School today alerting them a gun had been brought to school.
The note says a student notified the Principal another student had brought the gun on the school campus.
It says eventually, the student in question admitted they had brought the gun.
“There is no evidence that this child intended to cause any harm or any serious disruption at school. However this is a very serious matter…”
The letter says the student received a juvenile summons today from the Germantown Police Department and faces a 180 day suspension.
The letter does not specify on what day the gun was brought to school.
Principal Russell Joy also praised the student who reported the weapon.
